Today the Third Session of the Joint WMO-IOC Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology (JCOMM-III) elected Ms Sissy Iona (Head of the Hellenic National Oceanographic Data Centre, Greece) as Coordinator of the JCOMM Data Management Programme Area and Chair of the JCOMM Data Management Coordination Group. Ms Iona will bring to JCOMM her extensive experience in oceanographic data management at the national, regional (eg SeaDataNet) and international (IODE) level.
